Once we arrived at Nagoya Airport, we refuelled and sorted the plane and had signed all documents, the handling agent, a very friendly japanese Gentleman, took us to the Airport/ Station transit bus and it took us about 30 Min to get to the station. What a huge Railway station, but I must say, again all the signage in English also, all well organised, but huge number of people.
We purchased a Shinkansen Train ticket on the machine, very much like the ticket stations you get in Germany, the one you can change language on.
Now we have been sitting on the train since nearly one hour, up to this point of moment no speed. Der Zug eiert hier nur entlang. Nothing like 200 km/h or so, more like a slow ICE in Germany. To be honest, I am a bit disappointed, I expected to feel like as if we are in a Rocket... if the plane does not want to perform, I had hopes the Shinkansen would ;-)
Tonight we want to catch up on our celebration, Sushi. And for the next 2/3 days we take it easier and I hope even Dietmar will find some time to do a bit sightseeing. We were already saying, we want to depart Tokyo one night earlier because we do not want to have a 2h train ride and a 30 min Bus ride back to Nagoya Airport on the day of departure with a long leg of 723nm in front of us. We must rather preserve energy on that day and I will see if we do not find an airport hotel close to where the plane is parked.
PS: It took us 5 hours from landing to the Hotel, check in not included. We are tired.
Der Zug sieht ja wirklich sehr interessant aus. Habt weiterhin viel spaß :-)

ReplyDeletedas sieht ja alles super spannend aus :-) wir verfolgen den Blog mit spannung jeden Tag. Der Zug sah für mich aus wie ein Flugzeug von innen. Habt noch ganz viel Spaß und Freude an Eurer Reise trotz der Austrengung teilweise.
Hier ist soweit alles okay, sind immernoch mit der Zimmersuche für Lisa beschäftigt. Melde mich wieder.

Hallo Ihr 2 Weltenbummler, lese jeden Morgen eure Berichte und bin gerade mit euch in der alten Heimat Japan. Bin früher oft mit dem Shinkansen gefahren und wirklich eigentlich eher geflogen, dass man draussen nichts mehr richtig erkennen konnte. Aber geniesst eure zeit, isst Sushi mit für mich, ich kann gar nicht erwarten wieder bei Willoughbys aufzuschlagen. gleich am 1.10. werde ich dort sitzen und mein erstes suhsi seit langer Zeit wieder richtig geniessen. Und dann freu ich mich natürlich auf ein Wiedersehen in Kapstadt. Ich drück euch und sende euch liebste Grüße, passt weiterhin gut auf euch auf und bis ganz bald Dagmar
